Barbie

I cannot even describe how ecstatic I am for this movie. No. Not movie. Cinematic masterpiece. My schedule is clear on July 21, for I will be in the theater watching Barbie.

The cast is amazing, including Margot Robbie as Barbie, Ryan Gosling as Ken, and directed by Greta Gerwig. Although they have not released much about the plot or other core details, the trailer alone has blown everyone away. The fact that it very clearly resembles Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: The Space Odyssey tells me everything I need to know: that this film is going to be one of the best I will ever watch with my unworthy eyeballs. The trailer was beautiful and included such colorful and fun scenes like what appears to be a dance battle between Ken dolls. I just can’t wait. In all honesty, I really don’t think many people, if any, asked for a live-action Barbie movie. But I can’t imagine anyone not being at least somewhat curious to watch it. 

This film is going to win an Oscar. Mark my words.
