The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Golly gee, am I pumped for The Super Mario Bros. Movie! This animated masterpiece, based on the influential and iconic game(s). I have a deep love for the Super Mario games from Mario Kart to Super Mario Maker. These games have definitely had a great impact on many peoples’ lives and childhoods, which makes this movie that much more exciting.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie has a really great cast with a lot of well-known actors including Jack Black, Anya Taylor-Joy, Keegan Michael-Key, Seth Rogan, and…Chris Pratt. If there is one performance I am looking forward to the least, it is Chris Pratt as Mario. Chris Pratt is not the worst actor, but he definitely does not do much acting or justice for the icon that is Mario. I am slightly disappointed by his less than incredible take on Mario, but I will try to go into the movie with an open mind. Maybe he is just going for a more nuanced take on Mario, but we shall see.
